But I haven’t ever really discussed what it is I do. A lot has changed in the last couple years, so I just thought I would fill you in. The Journey Begins: My Online Racecar Parts Store
It all started back in 2014 when I launched my online store, Crate Insider, specializing in racecar parts. My business journey began in my humble two-bedroom apartment, and initially, I relied on drop shipping. However, I soon realized that stocking the products myself was a better idea. So, my (at the time) boyfriend’s shop became the shipping hub. Over the years, this has evolved into a full-fledged physical store, a dream I hadn’t initially imagined.
E-commerce Insights and Website Building
Apart from running my online store, I also provide advice on e-commerce platforms and services right here on my blog and YouTube channel. As a result of my experience in building a website for my own store, other manufacturers began approaching me for website development. This led to the birth of Winning Edge Studio, where I work with my two co-founders. We specialize in building websites, e-commerce, and Squarespace sites, helping various businesses expand their online presence.
Expanding Beyond Racing: Trade Shows and More
Before I ventured into e-commerce, I worked with my brother, dad, and another partner on a racing trade show. Fast forward a few years, and it’s now just me and my brother running the show. Inspired by our racing trade show success, we decided to bring more events to Hickory, North Carolina. So, we also organize a Christmas Show and a Home Show in the area.
GPS Tracking
On top of everything else, I got involved with a company that specializes in GPS trackers, Track N Recover. I developed an entire brand for it, and these trackers are fantastic for keeping your valuable items safe. They use both satellite and GPS technology for precise tracking.
Air BnB Host
Additionally, as someone who lives in a townhouse, I know the woes of loud neighbors, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started renting the townhouses next to mine and became an Airbnb host, offering guests a quiet and comfortable stay.
A Multifaceted Entrepreneur: E-commerce, Trade Shows, and More
In a nutshell, I wear multiple hats throughout the year. From e-commerce to trade show organizing to website development, it may sound overwhelming, but when you break it down, it’s manageable.
