YouTube Secrets by Sean Cannell and Benji Travis is just like the title says—it’s the The Ultimate Guide to Growing Your Following and Making Money as a Video Influencer.
This book is a MUST READ for every video creator. It teaches basic fundamentals all the way to advanced SEO strategies for getting your videos seen so that you can make money. I’m excited to get started with putting these strategies to work.

Hey there. Are you a YouTube creator, or maybe you’re thinking about starting? Well, if that’s the case, then I have a great solution for what you need today, and that is the YouTube Secrets book from Sean Cannell and Benji Travis. I’ve been doing YouTube for a while, mostly because I wanted a place to post my videos so that I can embed them on my website, but gosh,

Let me tell you about some of the things that are in here. First of all, Sean and Benji talk about the three P’s if you’re starting a channel. I mean, they take this all the way from if you’re just brand new and trying to think of ideas for your channel, all the way through to advanced strategies, and it’s fantastic.
So, those three P’s are passion, profit, and proficiency, so it’s really where all those three items come together is where you’re going to find your success on YouTube.
I also love that … Ooh, dropped the book. In here, there’s also the 10 … There are 10 different money-making strategies for how your videos can then translate in you making profits for your business, so it’s not just … A lot of times, people think it’s just for the AdSense money that you get from having ads on your site. For me, it’s always been just straight-up selling products, I just want people to buy products on my website, but this gave like 10 whole strategies that you can use.
And if you’re just thinking about video, oh my goodness, let me tell you a stat that’s in here that I absolutely loved. I’m just going to read it to you, because
Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Facebook will be mostly video content by 2019, and studies have shown that the whole Internet will be 80% video by then as well.
So, if you’re not doing video yet, now is definitely that time to start. And if you are just starting out, I am going to tell you, I can strongly recommend going to Sean Cannell‘s channel, THiNK Media. A lot of the decisions I’ve made for the equipment that I’ve bought have been just because Sean does such amazing videos, and I really, really respect his recommendations.
Also, there’s one other part of his book too I wanted to share, and he shares the seven C’s, and I’m reading them off the card here because I couldn’t remember them off the top of my head. But we have courage, have courage to be different, and really, really explore that. Have a clarity in your message. You really want to pay attention to your channel and the specifics. Your content, of course. Also, you want to build a community. Think about cash, because you can’t really do this forever if you’re not making any money doing it. And then, the number seven is consistency, the hardest one. It’s so simple, but the hardest thing to do is being consistent.
